Estes park is one of my favorite places to escape to, especially in the fall. I love hiking around bear lake, shopping at the little store fronts, staying at the locally owned bed and breakfasts and taking in the view.  Well last month I wasn’t there for leisure, but I did have the honor of joining up with Paige Elizabeth to photograph Tony and Betsy’s wedding, which took place at St. Malo Catholic church, nestled right along the mountain side.  Here were some of the highlights from the day.
the girl’s helping her put on her beautiful Vera Wang gown…

I don’t think she stopped smiling the whole day!

The flowers by Floral Designs of Europe were gorgeous too!

These last two were some of my favorites from the day!

The cake was incredible and created by Charm City Cakes.
Of course there was some amazing dance moves through out the night at the Stanley Hotel, but these were by far the best!

Three years ago today I woke up to begin a new chapter in my life, marriage. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed about my future husband. I always wandered how I would meet him, what our kids would look like and if he would be outgoing like myself. Now, I can’t imagine what my life would be like with out him. Wade has been the compliment to me in so many ways. He is a giver, a lover, a best friend and my biggest cheerleader. He is my dream come true. He brings out the best in me and never puts me down. Sometimes we laugh so hard we both start to cry….I love these times. Wade thank you for your constant love and support as I’ve followed my dreams to own my own photography business, live in Colorado and to be your wife. I couldn’t do any of this with out you….especially the be your wife part
Now onto some images from our wedding day. We got married at Christian Klay winery in Western Pennsylvania, which was breathtaking.  Here are some of the highlights compliments of Caroline Koopman Photography.

I remember showing my father the site where we were going to be married and he began to cry. He stated “You have to have a bagpiper at your wedding,” as tears steamed down his face. You can see Maryland, WV and PA from the ridge where we said our vows.
I love this image…it was like a scene out of a movie, as the guys came up over the hill top.

His father officiated the wedding, which was very touching and meant a lot to both Wade and myself.

This was Wade serving me communion.  Upon receiving my album, I opened it up to this image and began to cry, remembering how special this moment in the ceremony was to me. It is also the reason why I decided to do wedding photography full time after I got married. I too wanted to create moving images for my clients that they would treasure forever.  I have this image hanging in our living room as a huge 20×24 canvas print. It still inspires me to this day.

We were very happy!

We still look at each other like this today, but it is with a deeper more mature love. Here is to many more happy years ahead of us and to all my brides past and future!!

Early last month I had the distinct pleasure of joining Jared Wilson to photograph the amazing wedding of Meagan and Steven.  There are some weddings I photograph that by the end of the weekend I feel like I am part of the family, this was no exception.  We arrived in Jackson Hole on a Friday and I was immediately taken aback by the beautiful mountain range jutting up from the ground. We then went over to the Snake River, where we joined Steven, family, and close friends for a relaxing river rafting trip. Here were some of my favorite images from the day.

I love being on the water!
That evening we got to take part in the rehearsal dinner, which was incredible! Steven’s family put together what seemed like a full feature film starring themselves as leading characters, as they chronicled Steven’s life. It put all other slide shows to shame!
The following day was the wedding and you couldn’t ask for a more breathtaking backdrop than the Grand Tetons! Here were some highlights from the day!

The bikini clad ladies were floating out in the lake individually placing each flower in its’ proper place, which provided beautiful decoration and made for a funny photograph of Meagan with her Grandmothers.

Meagan was so graceful and stunning!

the lovely bridesmaids…
the meadow in front of Meagan’s parent’s home…not bad huh?

I loved what they did with the seating cards!

Thanks Steven and Meagan for allowing us to be a part of your day and a special thanks to Jared for inviting me along!
