Jim and Gretchen had a beautiful Greek Orthodox wedding last month and their reception was held at the Chartier’s Country Club. I loved how Gretchen and her bridesmaid’s dress were very similar, but with the colors switched in both the dress and the sash.  A special thanks to Nate and Kim with all of their help covering the wedding!

As some of you might already know, my husband and I will be moving to Denver, CO later this year. I’ll be splitting my time between shooting weddings this fall in PA and painting the interior of our new home in CO! We just returned from a marathon of house hunting, seeing over 30 houses in three days, wheww. We finally chose one that would best fit our style and personalities. Our office will still be located in Boulder, but our house is 15 minutes from away in Broomfield and about 20 minutes NW of downtown Denver. We will still continue to offer our stellar photography services despite our move out West.
I am so very excited, as it has been my dream to live in Denver for over 10 years. I love the scenery, sun and beautiful sky! We managed to go boating while we were there and did a lot of running on the sweet trails lining the vast open space surrounding Boulder. That is one of the best things about CO, all the open space they have for biking, running etc.
Here are some pics of our new pad!

Kitchen….I love the number of cabinets and spacious counter tops. We plan to replace the cabinets with Maple and the counter tops with granite, won’t that look nice? We really fell in love with the open floor plan…perfect for entertaining! So if you live in CO or have always wanted to visit, now you have a place to stay!
I will be out of the office from June 21st-26th and will have limited access to email and phone calls. Please feel free to leave a message and I’ll do my best to get back to you in a timely manner.
I met up with Kevin and Stephanie this past Sunday evening to shoot their e-session at Schenley park. These two are on the move, not only are they getting married in August, but they are both in the process of selling their condos and have recently purchased a new home in Mt. Lebanon. It was great taking their photographs, as I felt like we were old friends meeting up to hang out. Click here to view the slideshow! Here are some of my favorites.
Good luck with all the moving Kevin and Stephanie! I’ll see you in August!
I just shot my first “Trash Your Dress” session on Saturday with a former bride, Jen and we had an awesome time! I am looking for more couples or brides that would like to trash her dress. For more information visit the site trash the dress.com
or view the “Good Morning America” special that aired Saturday here.
These are some of my favorite images that I shot on the property near our home based studio.
What can I say, I love flare! This image of Jen and the Mac truck is especially interesting. I love the juxtaposition of the subjects, beautiful bride against a rusty old Mac truck….AWESOME!
Jen is absolutely gorgeous…I love her eyes in this one!
This second image was taken at an abandoned old house next to where we live, she had no qualms about standing in the doorway for this cool shot.
I think this one is my favorite!
Thanks Jen!  Look for more images to be up on my website soon!
If you live in P-burgh and haven’t attended the Art’s Festival you should make your way down to the city because it will be ending this Sunday. I’m going to attend this afternoon and am looking forward to seeing all of the amazing talents of the cities best artists. I’m especially interested in seeing “Swoon” perform at the PPG place at 12:30. They are a group of performance artists from Melbourne who tell a story while swaying back and forth on very tall poles, how cool is that! I’ll try and post some pictures from the event. Happy Friday!
I’ve been waiting to announce our big news for a while now and the time has finally arrived.  We just opened up our new studio/office in Boulder CO and will begin accepting CO weddings as of late fall of this year!!! After this wedding season is over, we’ll officially be moving to Denver, Colorado.  I’ve wanted to live there for over 10 years and now my dream is coming true.    Don’t worry I am still photographing all scheduled weddings this year in PA, so if your wedding is in the fall I’ll be there.   I will also be making frequent trips back to PA. So for those brides whom I’ve talked to about ordering albums or booking for 08, I’ll be able to discuss those details either over the phone or in person.  Check back for more details about our services in Colorado. If you are planning to be married in CO in late 2007 please give me a call, as we have a few dates still available and are currently accepting a limited number of weddings and destination weddings for 2008.
Trashing your wedding dress has become an increasingly popular thing to do after your wedding day, as seen here in today’s article in the NY Times.  I absolutely love this idea, so if you are a bride who is interested in having me photograph you in your gown swimming, horseback riding or in an urban setting with high fashion style please contact me to set up your shoot.  I’m also available on Sunday, for those brides who have already booked their wedding with me and would like to do this the day after their nuptials.  This is genius! No more keeping your dress in the box at your parent’s house never to be worn again, at least that is where mine is located, but now you have the opportunity to have some great images taken in some really unique settings.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to finally meet Vicente and Katherine, whose wedding I’ll be photographing in July. These two have the most amazing love story ever, as they first met when Vicente was an exchange student from Chile and seven years later, after a roller coaster of romance, fishing, and now medical and veterinarian school they will be wed on July 21st at Yellow Barn Farm in Zelienople, PA.
I met them at the location of their future wedding and from the looks of it, this unique wedding is going to be one of a kind! They are even harvesting honey on the property to give away to their guests as favors. I love when a couple gives out lovely favors that coincide with the theme of their wedding.
Here are some shots from their engagement session. It was very hot outside, but we had a lot of fun running around the farm and they were open to doing just about anything for photographs.
I can’t wait to photograph them in their wedding attire fly fishing at dusk! Oh ya I forgot to tell you, Vicente is not only in his first year of medical school at University of Pennsylvania, but he’s also a professional fly fisherman. He couldn’t wait to finish the e-session, so he could catch a fish! Katherine is also in her first year of U of Penn, but she is in the veterinarian program.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding, as it is going to be a fantasy world with big white tents, miniature ponies, great food and a big blues band! Check out their e-session here!
Last week I met up with Nate and Sarah to shoot their E-session. These two are so down to earth and really fun to hang out with. The best part is that some times, I really think that they forgot I was there. This allowed me to capture some great images of the two them. I give them a lot of credit, as they are waiting till there wedding day to exchange their first kiss!
Play time in the park.
Here is Sarah telling Nate a story…I love the color in this one.
I thought this one was cool because of the layers of imagery creating an interesting depth of field and the guy running was just an added bonus.

I can’t wait to capture their very first kiss! See you in July Nate & Sarah!
