Here are some images I captured for a client, David Demarco this past Friday at a concert he was playing in Johnstown.
Here is a shot from the balcony. Dave is not only a talented musician, but also a worship leader, as evident by the words on the screen behind him.
Doesn’t Dave have great hair? I have to admit I’m a little biased having naturally curly hair myself.
This is my rock star shot. I give Zack Arias all the credit, as his work has changed the world of music photography.
It was also a youth convention, so here is an image of a young girl praying. I think it’s one of my favorites.
This is a cool shot too. Meet Ray Gonzales, he’s from Nashville and works for Pearl, which happens to be the type of drums my husband plays.
I’ll be sure to post the link of Dave’s new website once it goes live, so that you can view more images from the event.
I just wanted to take this day to thank all the troops who have helped contribute to our freedom. Your efforts, time and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.  I hope everyone had a great three day weekend. My husband and I just returned from a quick trip to NY to celebrate my brother in law’s graduation from college. Way to go Matt! We also enjoyed playing a little game of Ultimate Frisbee earlier today.
I also have some very exciting news to announce in the next couple of weeks! It is a dream come true for me and I can’t wait to share the good news with everyone.
Last, I wanted to apologize for not blogging in over a week, as I’ve been attending photography seminars, (Triangle Photography Association, if you’re a photographer in the tri-state area, then you should check this out) meetings, and networking events (BNI). I love learning and meeting new people that can help me grow to be a better photographer, business women and friend, so I’m constantly reading new books and going to new places.  Just this past Friday I was in Johnstown taking photographs of the “Dave Demarco Band” for his new website that will be launched soon . He just came out with a new CD this week called Amplify, you should check it out!
Today has been designated a “no” work day, but I couldn’t help it…I had to post some of the images from Brian & Pam’s E-session from last night. We had so much fun at Moraine State park! Brian caught a bass and after our shoot on the north shore we headed over to the south side of the park to capture some amazing sunset shots. They are a stunning couple…just check it our for your self.
Thanks Pam & Brian, I had an awesome time photographing the two of you! See you in July!
View their slideshow here.
Last night after hitting the gym we hurried home to catch the season finally of the Office and Grey’s Anatomy. After missing last week, I felt a little behind (thank God for Itunes, as we’ll have to download last weeks episodes), but now we have to wait until next season to find out how Jim and Pam’s date went and how Ryan works out as Micheal’s new boss!!! Plus on Grey’s, Yang didn’t marry Burke, George failed his intern exam and Merideth and McDreamy are breaking up. It looks like we’ll have a lot to look forward to in the fall.  Ok, I’m done with my rant and returning back to work.
Check back soon, as I’ll be featuring our new engagement session guest books and some shot’s from tonight’s e-session with Pam & Brian. There session is going to be awesome…weather permitting. They are a fabulously good looking couple and a lot of fun to hang out with, especially after a cup of St. Arbucks.
This past Saturday I shot Jeff & Angela’s wedding. Thankfully it was a lot warmer than when I photographed their engagement session last month. Jeff is a close friend of my husband’s, so we had the chance to meet Angela last summer at a mutual friend’s wedding in Baltimore. She is so sweet and a perfect match for Jeff. They recently remodeled their new home together and did an amazing job. Congrats to the both of you! I hope your enjoying your honeymoon in Montana! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Click here for the slideshow! Here are a few of my favorite images from their day.
Angela’s close friend, Courtney was so ecstatic to see the bride to be just moments before the couple exchanged their vows.
Here are some images from John and Lauren’s E-session that took place on the fourth at Dusquesne’s campus where they met. Little did we know graduation was taking place at the same time. Thankfully, we were able to get some really cool shots by the fountain prior to the graduates lining up for pictures with family and friends. Afterwards we joined the celebration and helped ourselves to some punch and stuffed mushroom appetizers…yum. These two are amazing together…you can sense the love they have for one another by the way they look at each other.
Thanks Lauren and John. I’ll see you in August!
Saturday we had two weddings booked with some really great clients. Nate & Kimberly whom both own their own photography companies and also shoot on occasion for Center Avenue Imaging, had the opportunity to photograph Gretchen and Jim’s wedding , while I shot Jeff and Angela’s nuptials. Nate & Kim are both amazingly gifted photographers. Here are some beautiful images that Kim took during the wedding.
This past Friday I met Jennifer at McConnell’s Mills for my very first maternity session! I thought it would be appropriate to share these images with you, as it is a day that we celebrate mothers. It was important to Jen to have her session in a place that displays growth. She is beautiful with her long red curly locks and blue eyes. Her husband Alex is a redhead too….ummm I wonder if baby Scarlet will have red hair? I hope so…I’m a sucker for red headed babies. If you know Alex…keep this a secret, as she will be giving him an image from her session as a Father’s Day gift. She is one of the most thoughtful people I know. Happy Mother’s Day Jennifer! Here are some of my favorites.
I’m getting ready for a wedding in just a few hours while my senior photographer and another second shooter will be shooting an additional wedding on the other side of town. This week has been amazing and has truly changed the way I see and work with light. Tuesday I headed to DC for a One Light seminar with Zack Arias, which was astounding. I met a lot of other very talented photographers, whom I’ll list in another post. I also learned a lot about lighting that has changed the way I take photographs. After 12 hours of the seminar on Wednesday I had to leave early, as I graduated on Thursday and had to get some rest for the trek home.  After getting lost in DC and seeing all the sights twice, I managed to find 395 and I was on my way. Thursday night I graduated from Geneva College with my Masters in Organizational Leadership and I’m very excited to have finished. I now have the time & energy to devote entirely to photography, growing my company and my awesome husband Wade. Yesterday, I did my first maternity session at McConnell’s Mills, which was super fun and then off to Phipps Conservatory for an engagement session. Then back up North for a rehearsal dinner for my couple today, Angela & Jeff. Whoooo.  I promise to post some images soon!
Things are pretty crazy around here and I’m afraid I don’t have time to post pictures about everything that is going on. However, I’ll do my best to give you an update. Last Thursday and Friday were spent on the golf course shooting for the NY Times, which was an honor and privilege. Friday evening I headed over to Duquesne University to meet up with Lauren & Jon for their E-session and we had a sweet time, despite it being graduation night. Saturday I second shot a wedding with Melody Farrin, which was a lot of fun and the couple were super sweet. Be sure to check back for images from these events. Yesterday morning, I did some volunteer photography and then our friend Marcus had us over for an amazing lunch. This man knows how to cook and grew up in the South, which takes dining to a whole other level. Thanks Marcus for an awesome lunch. The best part was that he sent us home with some yummy left overs. We ended the weekend at Soba in Shadyside for a Birthday celebration with some of my closest friends and their spouses. The food there is fantastic and the service was outstanding. I always love hanging out with these guys because I end up laughing till tears are streaming down my face. Here is a pic from last night. Happy Birthday Kim & Bre!
Bre, Kim and me. Check out my hat and earrings, I got them at Urban Outfitters when I was in LA in 05. I love that store!
P.S. I took an advanced photoshop class last Saturday by Heather and learned soooo much. I used this image to illustrate some techniques I learned while attending the class. If you have the time you should sign up for one of her classes…she rocks!
