What do I do when I’m not photographing, being a wifey, mommy, friend, playing Settlers of Catan or working out? I am one of the founding members of Mile High Photography and also sit on the board of our soon to be non-profit! It’s always very exciting, as we hold monthly meetings where photogs come to learn about everything from marketing to post production. We also have several workshops parties & one trade show per year! I absolutely love the photography community in CO and feel so blessed to be a part of the leadership team. With that said, we are offering a workshop on May 5th and opening it up to anybody who wants to be a part!! Check out the info below!

We are so excited for our 2nd workshop of the year “Pimp My Holga” with the uber talented Andy & Angie Woods!
The workshop will take place from 1-5pm in the Western town of Idaho Springs, where you will learn, not only how to take amazing fine art images, but also hang out with two of the top photographers in Denver and the world!
INFO ON “PIMP MY HOLGA” WORKSHOP:

What: Learning how to use a Holga Camera while making amazing fine art images & pimping your camera out with neon gaffers tape, puffy paint, & stickers! Plus, the opportunity to be part of a Gallery Show!!
Cost: $50, plus you’ll have to purchase your own Holga & two rolls of 120 400 speed B&W film (see details below)

MORE INFO REGARDING COST:
You will be responsible for purchasing your Holga camera & 2 rolls of B&W film which you can buy at the following places:
Mike’s Camera, B&H, Denver Pro Photo, Adorama The cost for the camera range from $28-$32 and the film is $5 per roll.
The cost for developing, which you’ll also be in charge of along with having a print made for the show & framing or mounting it, is $10 per roll.

This opportunity is very unique, as we’ll also be having a gallery opening on Friday May 21st at 7:30 showcasing the work of everyone participating in the workshop! If you’ve never had the chance to show your work in a gallery, now is the time! If you’re participating in
the workshop, we do require you to submit at least one image for the show.

We’ll be meeting at Studio Wed 4500 West 38th Avenue #100 Denver, CO 80212 at noon on May 5th and leaving by 12:15 for Idaho Springs. Park in the Sunflower Market Lot, and come to Studio Wed to find a carpool buddy.
Seats are limited to only 25, so be sure to register today, as the workshop registration will open to all members on Monday April 20th.
